Description
This tape matches with the originally used sound-absorbing foam tapes between windscreen and dashboard. Therefore this endless foam tape on reel is ideal to replace the vehicle-specific sealing tapes, especially for all BMW series (1 series from 2004, 2 series from 2014, 3 series from 2005, 4 series from 2013, 5 series from 2003, 6 series from 2011, 7 series from 2008), various Audi series (A6 from 2011, A7 from 2010, A8 from 2004), as well as different Renault models (e. g. Espace, Mégane, Scénic).
Due to its good acoustic properties (reduction of low-frequency vibrations) it makes sense to use this self-adhesive, slowly expanding foam tape also on many more vehicles for sound insulation purposes.
Delivery pre-compressed, that is to say that the height on the reel is only about 2 mm. After unreeling/applying the tape will expand very slowly and reaches its total height of 12 mm only after approx. 30 minutes. Thewindscreen shall be fitted directly after applying the tape, so that the windscreen adhesive has gained enough stability when the tape has expanded completely.
