The multifunction cameras of some new vehicle models are fixed to the windscreen with a gel pad and additional mechanical holders. The crystal-clear gel pad provides the optical connection between the camera lens and the windscreen.
Our gel pads are made of a special silicone with comparable optical properties to the original gel adhesive pad. Thanks to the prefabricated, precisely fitting shape, the conversion of a camera is done very quickly and cleanly.
How it’s done: After cleaning the removed camera, the gel pad is simply placed exactly on the lens and the camera is reattached to the windscreen with the retaining clip.
Tip: By moistening the surface of the pad with clear water (do not use any cleaning agents!), any air bubbles can escape more easily.
